While I'm new to journalism, my passion for research, data analysis, and advocacy guided me to co-found and be an editor for The Comet Chronicle. Outside of classes, my passions include music performance, notably as an accoladed vocalist at Eastman Community Music School. Still, my academic background is strong, especially in writing. I was Student of the Month in English for all three years attending Burger Junior High, and Student of the Month for English Honors in my sophomore year of high school. In my junior year, I challenged myself by taking four AP classes. By the end of junior year, my scholarship essay earned me the University of Rochester’s George Eastman Young Leaders Award, the institution I was accepted to and plan on attending with an intended major in Biology.
